APRIL 22: April Double Workshop – Ala Moana After Party with Sammie & Dayl

April showers bring… another round of double workshops with Dayl and Sammie! šŸ˜› Our Ala Moana show is April 21, and what better way to celebrate than more dance?? Back by popular demand, don’t miss another round of flutter fan technique by Sammie (especially if you’re thinking of taking her special series this summer)! Fresh off of the Ala Moana performance, Dayl is ready to continue building Oahu’s American Tribal Style community with another workshop designed to get you moving and shaking!


Already registered for Sammie’s April classes? Sammie’s workshop is already included and you can add Dayl’s ATS workshop for $15! Not registered for Sammie’s classes? Come for both workshops for $30 or one for a $20 drop in!

Sammie’s monthly rate is $40 for non-students (flat rate), and $25 for students with a college ID. Drop in rates also available for regular classes.

Sammie’s Workshop: Flutter Fan Technique 4-5 PM

Inspired heavily by the fan techniques of Victoria Teel and Madame Onca, Sammie is constantly working to put her own twist on flutter fan technique! Increasing in popularity, the single large-stave flutter fan is a unique and versatile prop that has a life of its own. Not a veil, not a fan veil, but something in between! Gain comfort and familiarity with flutter fan technique in this fun, engaging workshop!

Dayl’s Workshop: Continuing Introduction to ATS!!! 5-6 PM

American Tribal StyleĀ® belly dance is a celebration of feminine and evocative movements that are rooted in the earth. It has been designed to bring out the best in people of all ages, shapes and sizes. The dance is created through group improvisation using a common vocabulary of movements, steps and cues. ATSĀ® combines movement from folkloric inspired dances to a fusion of modern and ancient dance techniques from North India, the Middle East, Spain and Africa.
