1. Friday, March 25, 6 - 8 p.m.
Turkish Romani/Dunyavi Roma- Getting down with 9/8 Karsilama!

In this class we will be focusing strongly on how to dance to Turkish 9/8 Romani (Gypsy) Karsilama Traditional Rhythms. This rhythm is all about the organic feeling that is sometimes challenging for dancers around the world and will educate the student/dancer how to count in this rhythm and feel comfortable moving to it.. Dalia's technique simplifies this dance and you will be able to assimilate the hand gesturing, foot work and romani feeling. The focus in this class is learning how to dance with the pelvic mostly and working with all the romani hand gesturing. (No skirts).
